What is the Full Stack Hacker?
What’s up hacker, sudo? I hope you are doing great! I would like to welcome you to this small related space where I share some of my experiences and interests in different areas of software development, welcome to Full Stack Hacker.
I’m Lorival and I created this space to share about what I’ve learned on this journey so far, what I’m learning today and a little bit about how I see the future. I created my first blog in 2008, this one was born in 2016 with the aim of being a weekly video podcast focused on good practices of software development and cloud.
A lot has happened since then, I moved to Portugal with my wife and 2 kittens. In 2020, the podcast of interviews with IT immigrants called “Olá mundo afora” was almost born with the great master and very dear Pablito, where we had a pilot with 4 episodes, but since he is in Canada, our time zone added to the pandemic did not make it easier to continuity, maybe it’s another project to be resumed in the future :)
I resume this blog in 2023 with the goal of being just a blog, but who knows, over time it may evolve and become what I originally planned.
Oh! Do you want to know the reason for the name? Full Stack has relation with knowing, not just a specialty regarding software development as a backend, but a set of technologies and tools to be able to build an application. Usually related to frontend + backend, I see it as the skill set needed for software development. Hacker generally has two connotations, perhaps the most popular of a specialist, usually in security, who uses his skills to break into or protect computer systems, but also has another of a super curious, studious, interested person who, after understanding very well a subject manages to create shortcuts (hacks), either to solve a problem or to reach some objective. So imagine what skills are needed for software development, with deep exploration of knowledge to the point of creating hacks, these are the topics and a few more that I would like to cover here at Full Stack Hacker.
See you, all the best and happy hacking :)
